Today we’re going to be delving into the concept design work of Bart de Graaff, a great automotive artist we’ve been in contact with. You can check out his work at www.degraaffdesign.com. Below, Bart gives us some insight into not only his own work and inspirations, but automotive design in general.

Your Ford Super Duty pickup was meant to handle the tough jobs in life. It's got the power and the space to take on just about anything. One important feature of your truck that helps it live up to its purpose are its side mirrors.

Things are not always what they seem. At first glance, this probably looks like a photo of 3 Pagani Zondas in a parking lot – certainly a photo-worthy sight, but nothing special other than that. But in fact, these are no ordinary supercars. They not only look great, but they also produce zero emissions, and are lightweight and fully recyclable, in addition to being affordable on even the tightest budget. To top it all off, you can actually build your own!

Few things in the world can rival the engineering complexity of a supercar engine, so it’s even more surprising when one of those things ends up being a wristwatch. Obviously this is no ordinary wristwatch. It was made as a fitting tribute to a car which is no ordinary car.

Subscribers and regular visitors to this corner of the internet may remember our piece a little while back about 2- and 3-wheeled vehicles. We’re going to go the other direction today, and look at a couple of 6-wheeled offerings. The reasons for having 6 wheels vary widely, but these guys will turn heads no matter what.

Two cars are stopped on the side of a highway. One of them is a police cruiser. One of them is a Lamborghini. Or maybe a Ferrari, or a BMW 5 series. You’ve probably seen something like this before, right? Wrong. The cop car and the supercar are the same one. Impossible? Not if you live in Dubai.

Today we’ll be taking a closer look at the creations of automotive artist Charles Maher. Charles is a multi-talented artist whose work has appeared on such publications as AutoWeek, Sports Car Market, Racer, and Road & Track, as well as Mustang Monthly, Automobile, and Car Collector magazines. His bright colors and distinctive style make his work recognizable, and give it a classic appeal.
